Terms & Conditions
These starter terms are a general template for a website-development service. Review and adapt them to your business and applicable law before accepting customers. They are not legal advice.
1. Scope and written approval
The selected package is a starting scope, not an unlimited commitment. Before work begins, the client and getonweb should confirm the pages, features, content responsibilities, integrations, delivery timeline, revisions, price, and payment milestones in writing. Work outside the agreed scope may require an additional quote.
2. Pricing, taxes, and third-party costs
Displayed prices are indicative starting prices unless explicitly stated otherwise in a written proposal. Domain registration, hosting, email services, paid themes or plugins, payment gateway fees, stock assets, and other third-party services are excluded unless the proposal says they are included. Applicable taxes will be handled as required by law.
3. Payments and receipts
Payment is processed through the selected payment provider. An order is considered paid only after payment status has been verified. A receipt acknowledges payment; it is not necessarily a tax invoice. Clients should retain the transaction reference and contact us if they believe a payment was duplicated or incorrectly recorded.
4. Client responsibilities
Clients should provide accurate business information, approved content, images they have permission to use, timely feedback, and access required for the agreed work. Delays in receiving materials, approvals, or access may affect delivery dates. Clients are responsible for the legality and accuracy of materials they supply.
5. Revisions and change requests
The number and type of included revisions must be confirmed in the project proposal. New pages, major redesigns, additional integrations, new features, or changes after approval may be treated as out-of-scope work and quoted separately.
6. Lifetime service and support †
Our goal is to maintain a long-term relationship with clients. Any “lifetime service” or “lifetime support” promise applies only if it is expressly included in the written project agreement. Unless that agreement states otherwise, it means reasonable help with eligible defects in the original delivered work, subject to our continued operation and reasonable support availability. It does not mean unlimited redesigns, new features, content updates, round-the-clock support, free hosting or domain renewals, paid third-party subscriptions, security incidents caused by external systems, or fixes required by changes made by the client or another provider. Response times, eligibility, exclusions, and any maintenance fees should be confirmed in writing.
7. Delivery, hosting, and external services
Delivery depends on timely client inputs and third-party service availability. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation of external hosting, payment, email, analytics, or domain providers. Where agreed, we will provide handover details and explain any recurring service costs.
8. Cancellation and refunds
The cancellation and refund arrangement must be stated in the written proposal before payment. Any refund will be assessed against the agreed terms, work already completed, third-party charges, and applicable law. Do not rely on this general template as a substitute for a project-specific refund policy.
9. Intellectual property
Ownership or licensing of custom code, design files, content, and other deliverables should be specified in the project agreement. Third-party libraries, fonts, themes, and assets remain subject to their own licences. Final transfer of agreed deliverables may depend on full payment.
10. Privacy and communication
Information collected for enquiries and payments should be used only for legitimate project, support, accounting, and legal purposes, with appropriate safeguards. Add a separate Privacy Policy explaining the actual information collected, retention period, service providers, and customer contact route before launch.
11. Contact and updates
For questions about a proposal, payment, or support, contact hello@getonweb.com after replacing it with your verified business email. The final project agreement and applicable law govern any conflict with this general summary.
† Do not advertise unlimited or unconditional lifetime support unless you are prepared to honour it. Get the final terms reviewed for your jurisdiction before launch. Last updated: October 2026.
